Located on a steep hillside, this nursery has some lovely plants to see and buy. The nursery is well stocked with good quality plants, some of which are unusual and certainly plants you would not find at an ordinary garden centre. So if you are looking for something different, then this could be the place to visit.
There is a smallish car park, toilets and a 'make your own drink' section which adds to the idiosyncratic nature of this nursery. They grow all their own stock and have an excellent knowledge of their plants. You can tell that this is a labour of love.
The gardens cost £3.50 to visit (the proceeds go to the NGS on a Friday) and they are worth it as they are beautiful. Layed out in wide tiers, they are full of perennials and grasses (the plants you can buy in the nursery) and they are stunning. They certainly gave me lots of ideas and inspiration. Well worth visiting.

Bit of a cheek charging for the garden entry given that it's a showcase for the garden centre plants, and propagating ground for seeds, and only small.
It's easy to criticise small businesses when you don't run one but the plants were quite expensive. Good choice of some stuff though and all healthy.

A very pleasant perennials garden. Well planted and well maintained. Probably better later in the season when grasses are at their best. Adjoining nursery has good quality plants well displayed. Helpful staff.
