My wife and I booked this house for our 30th wedding anniversary celebrations. Unfortunately a change in my job means that we will be emigrating to Chicago and so we have had to cancel. Ruth has been incredibly understanding refunding 50% of our payment immediately. She then told us that as soon as she had a replacement booking she would refund the rest even though this was not required by the terms of our agreement.
Ruth has kept in touch with us and true to her word as soon as she had another booking she refunded the rest of our payment.
Ruth is one of the most open and honest people I have ever dealt with. We hope one day when we get back from Chicago that we will be able to stay in her house.
We had a week's holiday at this house, which had plenty of room for our extended family gathering. The rooms and views are stunning, and the sandy beach is approximately 1 minute's walk away - staffed by friendly lifeguards - ideal for a family holiday with small children. My personal favorite things were the doughnuts from the seafront kiosk, and fish and chips from the pier (and if I'm honest I loved the penny arcades too) - a proper British seaside holiday. We also explored down the coast to Southwold, and inland to Beccles (great lido by the river).
I stayed at this beautiful house for a week in the summer with my whole family (parents, siblings, kids). The house is wonderfully furnished, spacious and has lovely views of the sea. It's a great place to relax and we spent most days on the golden sand beach just opposite the house. Lowestoft also surprised us with some truly fantastic restaurants.
