“Comfortable, peaceful stay in the New Forest”
Reviewed 17 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Myself, my husband and our two children travelled down from Scotland to attend a family wedding in Bournemouth and wanted to extend our stay with a visit to the New Forest.

Although this is a B&B you actually have your own private 'wing' of the house with your own entrance and garden so we didn't have to worry that our children would disturb the owners.

Marie and Chris were very welcoming, we arrived later than expected but this didn't seem to be a problem at all. On the whole we were left in peace but we knew that we could contact the owners at any time if we had a query.

The accommodation was very comfortable and cosy and we were bought a continental style breakfast on a tray each morning which was ample and very tasty!

The New Forest is a wonderful place to explore. We would recommend Lymington (crabbing from the harbour although very chilly in Jan and a lovely waterside pub for chips and hot chocolate). Brockenhurst (small village with local shops and cafes and New Forest ponies and donkeys walking right up the high street which our girls thought was wonderful). Beaulieu (we stopped for a lovely lunch at the garden centre there and also got the chance to get up close to donkeys and ponies). We didn't have time to visit Lyndhurst or the IOW as only a short visit but we would definitely like to visit on our next trip down.

Thank you for a lovely stay, we will definitely be back!

Liked best: Comfortable accommodation, privacy. Forest and coastal walks. Ponies everywhere!
Liked least: Nothing really although we wish we had packed wellies and the forest was a bit boggy in places.
