We stayed on New Years Eve and everything was perfect. Miranda was a brilliant host and the property was excellent! We would not hesitate to book again.

“Beautiful place to stay”
Reviewed 29 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

The house is lovely, in a separate wing. Beautiful grounds. But the real treat is inside, where attention has been paid to every detail. It feels like you are inside an advert for the perfect country home. Loved our stay here. Not cheap, of course, but that is as advertised. You get what you pay for! We will certainly be back, hopefully for longer next time.

“Home away from home!”
Reviewed 17 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Miranda & Anthony are wonderful hosts and they had thought of every little detail you could ever want from a home away from home. The property has been done out to a really high standard. Beds are super comfortable with gorgeous great quality bedding - no expense has been spared and really does feel like boutique hotel - but better! What really made it special was all the little extras like fresh bread, butter, milk and little homemade jams, tea, coffee all things you really appreciate after a long drive. Tavistock itself is a short drive and quaint town to amble around with some great little shops and places to eat out. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and will definitely be returning at some point to enjoy more of what this wonderful area has to offer.

“A very pleasant stay in a beautifully equipped period apartment”
Reviewed 3 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

The Old Rectory is a very special place to stay and is equipped to a very high standard with everything you could possibly needin the kitchen. There was even a delicious cream tea awaiting us and a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge. The house was very quiet and peaceful and extremely relaxing. There are pleasant walks to Dartmoor or Peter Tavy nearby and you can manage without a car, as the local pub (which serves delicious food but is closed on Mondays at present) , shop and church are all within walking distance.

Liked best: All the little extras - they even provide binoculars, sun hats and waterproofs
Liked least: Nothing. The front door was a bit stiff when you open it from the inside but everything was perfect.

A superb welcome and facilities are to be found at Miranda's home and Anthony ensures all runs well. An excellent place from which to explore Dartmoor and West Devon.
The accommodation is classy and comfortable, well worth a visit.
