We thought Pippens was probably the best and nicest cottage we've ever stayed in. Warm, comfortable and well-equipped. Joan welcomed us with scones, butter and jam and a bottle of Prosecco! The bed was really comfy. Thanks, Joan.
This is a great place in a great location
Lovely local pub. The hosts were very helpful
There was a lot of attention to detail
One of two conjoined cottages, with a sitting room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Small, but extremely clean, well-maontained and -equipped.
Lots of interesting walks in the area, albeit muddy at this time of year.
Pippins is nestled within the High Weald of East Sussex. (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) Although it is in a very secluded location, it is within easy reach of a super pub, great walks and cycling routes and, lots of historic places to visit.
This is the fifth time that I have stayed at Pippins and, as on all other occasions the cottage was very clean and really comfortable.
The furnishings and fittings are top-of-the-range -- nice extra-large bed with crisp white sheets.
TV, DVD and radio equipment is easy to use and all worked well.
There is good internet connection via WiFi but, as the cottage is located in a very remote, but beautiful part of Sussex mobile network signal is weak. But if you absolutely must phone home, you can always use Skype.
A super welcome awaits by way of some home made cakes and a bottle of Cava. What better way to start a holiday break?
I have already booked for June 2017.
Pippins is tucked away in the lovely Sussex countryside in a quiet and peaceful location. It is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard with the helpful owners on site nearby. I stay there several times a year and for me it is a real home from home.
