Absolutely loved this place. Service and the food was excellent. My fillet steak and prawn hot rock accompanied by skewer of fresh vegetables was a really good portion which was too much for me but my boyfriend wolfed down my left overs after eating his duck, steak and exotic meat hot rock. We finished by sharing a Don Pedro. Very romantic evening ♥️we will be back

I have to say I came here on recommendation of an unusual menu and delicious food but when I opened the menu, I couldn’t believe the price of the meals. I don’t even recall these rates in top notch restaurants in London BUT having said that, we each (4 of us) managed to chose a main meal below £20 and all enjoyed the quality of what was laid before us. I had the Forest Gump which was a cut of fillet steak and a cut of wild boar and my mum chose the duck, each came with a hot plate on which you could cook your meat to the level you desire.... perfect. My other half ordered the fish and chips which was the cheapest on the menu but in fairness was the best battered fish I’ve tasted in a very long time. If you don’t mind splashing out a bit in order to try the crocodile, ostrich or kangaroo, I’m told they’re also very good. If you have adventurous children they too can have a ‘hot plate’ but at a reasonable £10 but they also do burger at £5 and free fish fingers and chips. Your surroundings are comfortable and the place still has the charm of an old English pub. Will I be back.... yes, I think I will. Just need to find another special occasion :-)

Had a lovely unusual lunch at the Chetwode arms. Staff so friendly, nothing too much trouble. Food excellent. Great choice of alcohol free beer! Had an Erdinger German beer, very tasty

The food was good but a bit pricey. we called in at 5.30 pm for a quick bite as our kitchen is being refubished. it says on their website 2 courses for £10 upto 6pm on a saturday and 7pm during the week.. however the menu they gave us in the pub states only tues day to friday up to 7pm. I felt for the family of 7 who expected two courses for £10. It was an expensive night for the father! The cheapest main course was £17.95.The service ws fine , I liked the hot stone idea so you can reheat your food as you eat.
