What a great new facility set in the old wood. Well constructed items and really varied. Will certainly be back to explore further.

Easy to park. Offered immediately a FREE tour with guide around house. Well worth it. Very interesting about growth of house and the Mander dynasty.
Grounds and plants, trees etc extremely well kept.

NB. Would have liked more info about plant names.

We are fortunate to be very local to the property and visit perhaps 3-4 times per year.

This is a National Trust property.

There is always something new to be learned and appreciated whatever time of year.

If you like William Morris and the Arts and Crafts movement then you will not be disappointed.

A good collection of Pre-Raephalite works and some interesting stories about the movements members.

Guides are well informed and friendly.

Large gardens and family friendly.

If you are in the area then give it a try you will be pleasently surprised.

What a great way to spend an afternoon. The house and grounds are beautiful, the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and we had a lovely time. For people who appreciate William Morris and his contemporaries like the Rossetti's this is a jewel of a place. It's wonderful to know that it has been preserved in it's original state for everyone to visit. The tearoom does a really good cup of tea and plenty in the pot for refills!!
Highly recommended.
