The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed inside. The staff are attentive and were honest enough to tell us not to order a main with the king's platter. It was humongous!!! Gorgeous fish dishes and the gavi di gavi wine they recommended when we asked for advice was lovely and as described. Good selection of drinks as well as a menu so good we struggled to choose. So much so that we went back the next night to share the steak platter, which was lovely too. The waiting staff again showed their professionalism by offering to bring out the chips while we waited the half hour for it to cook as we hadn't ordered a starter but we were happy to just enjoy the wine while we waited. The chef came out to check we liked it and laughed because we'd almost finished it already. They were still happy for us to order dessert, even though we hadn't been able to arrive before 8:30 post babysitting arrangements and we didn't feel rushed at all even though we were one of the last tables to finish. Worth every penny and glad we went for quality over a sea view. Tuesday night was quiet but Wednesday seemed almost full and we heard other tables saying how glad they were that their hotel had recommended they try this restaurant so we weren't the only ones. Just wish we were local - enjoy!

Went here with four friends. Have been several times before but this time main courses were very disappointing. I had the carbonara and it was so heavy that I could only eat about a third of it. It wasn't nice at all. My friends also commented that their meals were not as good as previously. Staff were very attentive and friendly and offered us a discount which was appreciated however it was a real shame as hate to complain as it is embarrassing and puts a dampener on the evening. Would rather have had a nice meal!

Came for a birthday meal, starter was nice I had the whitebait, and for main I chose the pasta Mariana, real shame it wasn’t as good as the starter, the past was watery and very little flavour, clams were mostly empty, two of the 5 mussels were closed shut, and the prawns were tiny with little flavour. I didn’t really like the meal and picked out the few bits of seafood that I had and left the rest. Real shame.
I can’t say that this was the overall opinion from the table as a few of the others enjoyed there meal. Ended up buying a bag of crisps and eating these at home.

We were looking for somewhere to have some seafood on a sunny Sunday afternoon so decided to visit Giuseppes for the first time and must say we will be back!
Had a lovely Mediterranean sharing platter with battered whitebait, calamari, king prawns and a squid salad. It was plenty for 2 and all together lovely.
The whitebait was absolutely amazing and the calamari had a nice light batter on it. Must say that it would have been nice to have to have a few more prawns as only 4 on the platter but would still highly recommend to anyone.
Looking forward to trying the pastas or steak fillet next time.
