We booked in for Sunday evening dinner due to the review and its own microbrewery. We all had a Sunday Roast. The meat was delicious, but the parsnips were hard and chewy. The special beers were especially good. The main reason that we would not return is due to the fact that the pub allows dogs inside. Personally, I do think that is acceptable when dinner is being served.

We stayed here for one night in our campervan and had dinner in the pub. The food was delicious, there was a variety of good wines and beers and the lovely landlady and her family couldn’t do enough for us. The facilities are modern and spotlessly clean and the village is very pretty and quiet.

We visited for breakfast with our son and daughter in law. We waited a long time for it to arrive and it was almost cold. This was exasperated by the cleaner opening the outside door and propping it open. So, not only was our breakfast cold, so were we!!! It COULD have been a better experience, we COULD have been placed further down in the pub out of the draught, the cleaner COULD have cleaned without propping the door open. As it was, none of those things happened and we will not return.

Was staying down the road so booked in for an early evening meal with the wife and 5 year old son. I had the ribs which were fantastic, lovely chips and onion rings. My wife had the chicken, which she enjoyed.. her one complaint there was not enough gravy.... which the waiter was happy to rectify.
My son had the battered fish which they done in a kids size.
Very happy with the price and great service.. worth a visit if your in the area.
