“Lovely small cottage in the heart of Hay”
Reviewed 14 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Very nice two bed cottage in the heart of the book town, Hay-on-Wye.

Nicely appointed and decorated. The sophisticated heating thermostat provided an interesting brain teaser.

Highly recommended.

“well located, ideal for a short break”
Reviewed 10 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

the cottage is very well located, close to the main sights of hay-on-wye. the cottage was perfect for our 2 night break. the kitchen is well equipped, with everything you'd need to cook and milk had been left for us as well as some tea, coffee and biscuits. there is a nice, small garden and a good living room. the bedroom is a good size and there is no noise noticeable from the street. the shower was powerful and had lots of hot water available.

the host (roy) was very welcoming and the information provided regarding the cottage was clear and comprehensive.

overall, a very good stay, a good price and I would definitely recommend.

“Quite, clean and well situated”

Cottage was exactly as described and the perfect location for exploring Hay and the surrounding area. Lots of lovely places to eat and drink within easy walking distance so the fact that we couldn't park right outside wasn't an issue. The log fire was a real treat on the chilly November evenings.

“Perfect Hay hideaway...”

The Cottage is exactly what it says on the tin - a cozy old cottage in the centre of Hay, well-modernized, comfortable, and very well-equipped. We had breakfast sitting outside in the garden, and were slightly sorry that the weather was too warm to use the wood-burning stove.
The Cottage made the perfect base for our long weekend in Hay, and as it is so central it was easy to nip back and deposit bags of newly bought books, thus freeing us to go and buy more..
The owner was very friendly and helpful, and we would happily stay there again. Thank you, Roy!

“Central Location”
Reviewed 29 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

The Cottage is in a perfect central location for visiting Hay.
Our big concern was lack of parking availability but in his "Welcome Pack" Roy, very kindly, suggested alternative parking places.
We really liked the spacious corner shower.
Heating wasn't a problem, it was easily turned up when needed but I did find it difficult to return it to 5° as Roy had suggested, but that could just have been me, not being used to that system.
We really enjoyed our stay in Hay.
