Seven of us went for a 65th Birthday dinner in this charming pub. The food was delicious, everyone enjoyed their meals. The atmosphere and service was great on a busy Wednesday evening. Birthday cake came out at the end and the whole pub joined in the singing. Great value and good Real ales. Well worth a visit. Advise booking.

I had chosen to have lunch there after reading very positive comments on Tripadvisor. Atmosphere was dull, no music, no nothing, little choice as to food. ordered a salad with salmon and prawns, got a platter with a handful of prawns, two slices of salmon and cuts of cucumber and tomato on the side..The lack of atmosphere didnt help. I do not recommend that place; there are plenty of other pubs and restaurants in Folkestone.

Proper old British pub. Great service and friendly bar staff. Standard pub grub but well presented. They even have scissors on the table for cutting open those pesky sauce packets.
Interior is tired and there’s too many dusty old knick knacks and clutter. A coat of fresh paint would work wonders.
Dog friendly and welcoming atmosphere

folkestone centre was a bit loud and drunken so slipping into a quiet historic pub was the option we took during an evening stroll. The service was lovely, the merlot less so but the space was welcoming and enjoyable - pretty little garden visible through the window.

Excellent pub with excellent food and a very cosy atmosphere. Great place with very friendly & helpful staff. I just loved it there. When we left , forgot our camera inside, happily the waittress (i think the daughter of the landlord) noticed this and ran after us in the pouring rain to bring it to us. Thanks again for that my little darling!! We will go back to this lovely pub. Regards from Belgium!
