We visited our home town and wanted to stay somewhere that felt like home. Swallow Cottage was a home from home. It is an immaculate cottage and the upside down living works well. The Cottage is on a working farm which added to the experience.
We had a lovely stay and family who visited for supper loved the cottage too.
We have had another fab weekend away in this beautiful cottage in Slaithwaite. Still as perfect as we remembered it to be! Thank you so much, Sally - we loved every minute of our stay and hope to see you again soon!
I have to say the beds in this cottage are made from clouds. They afforded us a very restful stay. Well presented and spotless, the owners have thought of everything to ensure a very comfortable experience. Travelled with 3 adults and two children and there was plenty of space for everyone.
Great location for daily walks, local amenities and excursions. Or even just sat by the log fire enjoying stunning views of the countryside
The owner Sally, is very friendly and readily available for any queries.
Will definately book again
We stayed at Swallows Nest over New Year and can't recommend it highly enough. The cottage is lovely; spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you could possibly need. A real home away from home. The location is stunning and we enjoyed some fantastic walks nearby. We hope to return again soon. Thanks Sally!
We have just spent Christmas in this delightful cottage and had a wonderful time. This is our 4th stay at Swallows Nest, which is beautifully finished and furnished, and very well equipped. The owner had thoughtfully provided a lovely, decorated Christmas tree, as well as mince pies, bread, milk, orange juice, butter and mulled wine. She is always willing to help in any way she can. The cottage is well situated for visiting the Yorkshire Dales, Holmfirth (location of Last of the Summer Wine) and Huddersfield. We are looking forward to our next visit in June 2017.
