We went to this pub 2 weeks ago it was closing that weekend due to the land falling into the sea it's just a pity the use less council of Somerset done do some thing to stop it if this nice old pub go's then at some point so does the road between Watchet and Blue anchor And Minehead.
We have been to this pub a few times over the years and i can tell you it was one of the best pubs i have ever been in the food was always great as was the beer with great staff if some thing is not done to save this pub it will be a shame the owners did as much a they could with no help from the COUNCIL.

Lovely clean site with suitable amenities just outside a harbour wall which looked a hot spot for fishing just up the road was a lively little pub which welcomes everyone live bands and regular events Sunday afternoon there’s a large boot sale in the next field close to Watchet a lovely little town with plenty of shops and takeaways . Visit the harbour and read all about its history with a little museum to visit .
Visit Dunster Castle and Dunster working water mill with its beautiful village lots to do and see will be returning

Once again had an excellent meal at this lovely old pub with fantastic views. Have been coming here all my life (60 years), sadly due to the massive erosion of the cliff and lack of help from the local authority the landlady has taken the heart breaking decision to close at the end of this month. Visits to Blue Anchor will not be the same! Very sad

A busy friendly pub with views over Blue Anchor Bay. UNFORTUNATELY it will be closing at the end of September due to cliff erosion. A great loss as a good pub, beer and meals.

It's just heart breaking that a pub that has stood for 500years will sadly disappear into the sea soon, our family has over the generation's have had holiday's in blue anchor bay for years and always came to enjoy the food and setting,it will loose a precious part of this seaside town.
