Visited the Tearoom many times, esp now we're almost local, not 'just' visitors! The food is always delicious, whether a savory dish or mountain-high lemon meringue pie! Ans staff are unfailingly courteous and welcoming - even when, as they often arem th place is packed!;

Found the owners very friendly and accommodating.
We had a cream tea in the gardens and it was delicious. The scone was big and puffy, it was warm and with the cream and jam on top was just heaven. All it needed was a cup of tea - that didn't disappoint too.
We sat in the garden in late October sun, the sound of the water flowing through the ford and under the bridge next to us was very relaxing.
Will definitely go there again when I go back to Winsford

We had stopped here before, at the beginning of the season and it was empty, the whole season ahead of them. On this visit, although towards the middle of October, the sunshine was out and the tea rooms were packed. A late bonus. The staff are friendly although working flat out and the food was tasty and decent quality. What tops this off is that the tea rooms are at a confluence of country roads, one which is crossed by a weir. Quintessentially the perfect location.

Homemade cakes were really good and the owners are very friendly. Such a contrast to the pub opposite.

We popped in here for a very late lunch. The brocolli and stilton soup was just lovely.
The desserts and cakes look just as they do on here.
Very pleasant staff.
Check before you travel though because they are not open every day ( certainly not Monday and Tuesday at the moment )
They sell a few gifts and some very useful walking guides at £1.60
