We were in Scarborough on a break for 4 nights. My partner and her sister had been in August and were contacted with details of a 3 nights for two offer.we stayed an extra night making it 4 for 3 and excellent value it was. The meticulously high standards and quality of breakfast at this haven of a guesthouse are well documented elsewhere and we would concur with every positive word. We returned from our second visit to the SJT on our last night having seen a brilliant Ayckbourn production to find the car key had snapped in the ignition, Gill and her regularly returning guests were so helpful with positive and practical advice and expertise that I managed to think through and sort he problem out cheaply without need of RAC call outs or costly insurance claims that my initial panic might have caused. There are lots of returners to this establishment for good reason. You are made to feel really welcome, you're very comfort is assured and the hosts encourage an atmosphere of friendly community. We'll be joining the army of returners. Thankyou all, especially Gill. John andHelen.

Room Tip: The newly refurbished superior rooms are immaculate in every way.

Just back from 4 nights at the Headlands Hotel. It was exactly what we wanted. Great owners and staff, comfortable room, very clean throughout, and lovely breakfasts.

The location in the North Bay near Peasholm Park was ideal for us. We like walking and did plenty of it. However, the bus stop is not far away if you'd prefer not to. I think it is the 109 open top bus that runs back and forth along Marine Drive between the two bays. Also the North Bay light railway runs the other way to Scalby Mills.

There are a few places to eat nearby and we tried three of them: George's at the Tunny Catch (twice as there was a 2 for 1 offer on Thursdays); Blue Crush Bar & Diner; The Coffee Bean (best to book here). We enjoyed all the meals.

this is an excellent small hotel which met our requirements perfectly. We were on a three-day break in Scarborough to see two Aykbourne plays at the SJT (a regular treat for us). This is the first time we have stayed at The Headlands hotel and, although a little way from the theatre, we were attracted by the high quality, recently up-dated rooms, the good breakfast menu and the licensed bar for a quiet, after-theatre night cap. Our room was spacious with great storage space and an enormous, very comfortable bed with high-end linen, the hostess tray was generous and we had a great sea view. Also, unusually for Scarborough, parking was easy and free. Gill and all the staff made us very welcome - we'll stay here again without hesitation.

Room Tip: room 4 has sea views, this hotel is in a quiet part of Scarborough so all rooms are quiet

Had another fab stay at the Headlands hotel.....room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was very good again. Plenty of choice of cereals, yogurts and fruits and juices to start with followed by a full English or something else cooked...nothing is a problem to make and there is toast in abundance....we stayed as a family of 9, including 4 children....visiting for the 'Goldwings Festival'.....a friendly greeting on arrival and throughout our stay. Would recommend if you are visiting Scarborough....excellent position for the North bay and Peasholme park as well as getting up into town.
