My daughter and I were celebrating her birthday and decided to have lunch at the Shabby Scholar last Saturday. We hadn't reserved a table and it was very busy but there was a bench available at the window which was fine for the two of us. The menu is varied and offers dishes which are different to the usual "pub grub". My daughter chose prawns and I ordered the grilled halloumi. Both were delicious. There was a very good choice of cocktails but on this occasion we had wine. The food is reasonably priced and all the staff were very friendly and provided a great service. We would definitely eat here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.
