we were impressed with rotherham, we thought the town was lovely and clean, the minster is so impressive, and a really lovely church inside. we did the canal walk to sunnyvale centre and then caught the bus back, really lovely walk. found it a good base for the peak district had a really lovely break.

Our party of 40 had a very good guided tour of the Minster - another architectural gem in my home town.

We took the advice given on the Rotherham FC website to go and have a look at the Minster. It's an impressive gothic building that dominates the town centre, but at Saturday lunchtime it was closed.

Visit the church for a quiet moment amongst a busy day. Peaceful and lots to see. We also enjoyed a coffee and biscuit served by volunteers.

This beautiful Minster Church is the focal point of the town. Part of my life from being a small child. Wonderful stain glass windows telling many stories along with the artifac which tell the history of the Church and town. The churchyard is beautifully kept and encourages a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of life. Surrounded by tasteful coffee shops and several quaint businesses. Well preserved and worth a visit.
