Decided to go with my wife for breakfast somewhere different, bit of a shame that the council feel the need to charge for parking, after all you are going nowhere else, its over a mile to the town. However the restaurant/cafe is beautiful, well decorated, very light and with great views. It opened at 10am and we where almost the only clients initially, food was therefore delivered promptly.
The big breakfast was not inexpensive at £6.95 but the produce was second to none. The entire plate was of superb ingredients right down to the cherry tomatoes on the vine. Another nice touch was the fact that you get 3 cups from your own t-pot unlike other venues where you can just about wring one cup from the minuscule pot.
Staff where all excellent and friendly. I highly recommend a visit.

The point is down a long lane from the clock tower area of Skegness. Car park is £1 for 2 hours or £3 all day. Access to the new building is smooth for wheelchair users and entry to the building is via a long ramp. A cafe and small shop are on the 1st floor. Most people stand and stare at the blackboards behind the counter. These only highlight various meals on offer. A better menu is provided on clipboards to the left of the counter. The cafe is not large and if you are wanting a seat near to windows I would recommend not to go at meal times. Before and after would be better for you. Seating and tables are available outside but are limited. A further open air floor is provided with great panoramic views of the marsh and seat area. Access is not provided for wheelchairs and seating is very disappointing. The visitors centre outside was not open when we visited. Clean toilets are available in both buildings. We will visit again .

This place has some stunning views, I'd suggest a walk back into Skegness via the sea fron and sand dune walk

Had a couple of hours spare so drove from Skegness to have a walk. Only about 3 miles outside the town, well signed, two car parks, the second is for the visitors centre. £1 for 2 hours. Lovely centre, good coffee and cake and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views, outside or in. Small gift shop, very friendly staff especially the young man at the reception desk who was helpful and very enthusiastic, really good ambassador for the Trust. Only did a short walk so need to go back. Popular place especially with dog walkers.

Gibraltar point is a lovely place to go for wildlife and great walks long or short. It's also an excellent cafe really good food. Ploughmans and quiche are really good nice chips as well. If you live local it's nice to go in winter also.
