First visit since re-furb & was a bit worried with all the negative reviews... however... we chose from the 'managers choice' menu at £3.99 Mom had fish & chips which was a very generous portion & she thoroughly enjoyed. I went for the tandoori wrap & chips. Very tasty, and again, good size portion. Staff were friendly & the service was VERY swift... thanks to all

Good reasonably priced food and selection of puds. Real ale sought after by husband! Special offers on certain days are worth catching.

Wow wow wow! What an amazing roof top garden! Great setting in the sunshine, plenty of seating and lovely surroundings inc pretty plants and flowers and fairy lights above our heads! We are so pleased this pub has reopened after such a long closure, everyone I know loves this place. The staff and managers are truly special, always happy and always so helpful. This new rooftop garden area is sure to be a big hit. We loved sitting there with an ice cold glass of wine and a pint of ale, which there are many to choose from. Please dont listen to any negative reviews, of course mistakes happen but if something goes wrong we always speak up straight away and its immediately rectified with the minimal of fuss. Cant wait to visit this Sunday for the festival, its going to be the place to be for sure xxxx

After all the ballyhoo about the new refurbished pub with roof garden, I was expecting a pleasant drink on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
I took a seat my husband went to the bar only to return to say THEY HAD RUN OUT OF DRY WHITE WINE! I couldn't believe my ears. He had seen some Chenin Blanc behind the counter and asked for a glass of that only to be told it was only sold by the bottle and they couldn't open it. He was offered a Rose which is scarcely a replacement.
I called for the manager and while I was waiting the people at the next table asked for a menu only to be told there weren't any.
The manger eventually arrived and didn't apologise just told me she had only just arrived and literally just taken her bag off her shoulder, which is not what I would expect from someone in charge. When they arrive at work they are at work and should act professionally.
She agreed it was bad service and the Chenin Blanc should have been opened. She also said she would photocopy some menus for people.
She then said, "Ok I'll go and sort it out." …… I never saw her again, I waited over half an hour for a glass of wine to appear and finally left in disgust.
Its no good having a fancy roof garden if your customer service is useless.
I have sent a complaint in, but surprise , surprise have yet to receive a reply.
