Went as part of a large group of people.
We were crammed into a small room which was very stuffy.
A Sunday type dinner was served with a choice of beef or chicken.
The beef reminded me of the frozen "boil in the bag" type. All uniformly cut and thin and tasteless.
Veg were OK, but not very inspiring.
Cheesecake was basic.
Staff were very efficient and pleasant.

Thank Peckisher

A last minute meal out with the family , I have not eaten in the Burtree Inn for many years . Atmosphere was pleasant but seemed a little hectic as only 3 staff for quite a large dining area. We were seated close to kitchen door so constant speedy traffic which does not add to a relaxing meal . I had the sea Bass which was very nice - 1 had curry that was not particularly authentic to look at - if you are a curry fan save your choices for an Indian restaurant. Daughter had roast beef with trimmings but was disappointed with the veg and roast potatoes that were soggy - my son had sausage and mash that was smothered in too much gravy - drowning in it but staff saw his. Reaction and offered twice to give him a new meal so very good observant and attentive staff . Final meal Mushroom Stroganoff was also very nice . Overall 7/10
Good value . Good staff

There was 9 of us booked in on a Saturday, food came out quickly and was amazing as always.

Portion size is great and always leave full up.

Very popular venue and was Mothers Day so important to remember this. 4 meals+basic deserts+soft drinks @ £82.45. Higher than chains but acceptable if meal perfect. Tables were ontop of each other, order at bar, pay upfront or card held seems normal. Only two beer types available and soft drinks limited. Meal quantity was high but quality not so good. Quite what difference "hand cut chips" make to a meal I dont know but not cooked properly and left on side/basket. Excess grease not wiped from plate, salad slapped on plate when should have been seperate so covered in oil/grease. Service was slow but remember special event. First time tried but not for us and at £82 wont risk a second visit.
