Stayed here during a visit to family in Poole.
Easy parking, nice friendly staff and our double room was just fab.
Restaurant serves good choice with generous portions
The Full English Breakfast kept us going all day!
Plus this hotel welcomes pets

Room Tip: Note. This hotel has 2 floors, but no ground floor rooms and No LIFT Staff will of course take your bags to your room,

Staying one night for a wedding at the same venue
early check in after a flight was great.Room fine no issues
Breakfast tasty and plentiful, quick check out as i'd prepaid
Only downside,my brother also stayed, got forgotten about at breakfast and got charged again at check out even though he paid in october
when he checked the bank he went to ask for a refund and despite the guy on reception speaking directly to his bank refused to issue the refund saying he was too busy. The weakest link in quite a nice hotel.

Room Tip: no idea on layout but some have fab views and others far less so

Good little b&b in lilliput
It was a great place to stay on a cold winter weekend with crystal clear views in the morning sun.
Comfortable and clean.
A little dated and could do with a lick of paint but it was perfectly fit for purpose.
Good breakfast cooked to order which is a nice touch.

A very warm hotel, staff friendly and room was lovely. I would be more than happy to go back there again, shame I am not able to just yet! I would recommend this hotel if staying in Poole except if you need a lift as the hotel does not have lift; for me not a problem but my Mum needed support walking up the stairs. Still a lovely hotel though and would stay again.

The Salterns is a traditional style hotel located by the waters of Poole Harbour. Stayed at the end of December. Check in was smooth and very welcoming. We had a twin room that overlooked the back, but including the Marina and a side view double room overlooking Sandbanks and Poole Harbour.

Rooms were an excellent size with sofa and very clean. The en-suite was a good size, clean and in good decor. Only disappointment was the lack of power from the shower. Water flow was slow.

Public rooms very pleasant and in the summer there is a great outdoor area to sit and drink whilst watching harbour life go by.

Breakfast was good - help yourself to cereals, but full English cooked fresh and served at the table.

Plenty of free parking at the hotel and a pleasant walk around the Marina. It is a dog friendly hotel (which worried me!) but didn't prove a problem.

Sadly, i understand planning permission has been granted to demolish the hotel and build a new 5* hotel at the end of the Marina - well, it is close to Sandbanks!!

If it is still open, strongly recommend.
