This is a great venue for a family holiday, there are six of us and there was plenty of room for more, the property is tastefully decorated with a lovely homey feel, the kitchen is fantastic and so well equipped. Fabulous warm swimming pool which our boys loved and a jacuzzi hot tub. The weather was so warm we even played in the huge sand pit and the marvellous trampoline which is at ground level. We were welcomed by the friendly owners who live next door but were there if you needed anything but did not impose. Beautiful gardens back and front all secured so boys and the dog had a great time playing hide and seek and ball games. We also played table tennis and a football game in the games room and so much fun was had. We are booked to go back twice next year and can not wait. The woodland opposite is lovely and we need to explore further in but we were quite happy to stay where we were and just relax and enjoy our stay. Can not wait for next May.
We booked Heath View after reading all the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor - and we couldn't agree with them all more now we have stayed!
We were a group of 6 adults & 1 baby, the facilities were plentiful; the indoor swimming pool was so warm my 10 month old daughter was able to swim everyday, the hot tub was also so nice that we used that almost everyday too! We played tennis, croquet, boules - generally spent as much time outside as possible! My daughter was particularly fascinated by the pigs, chickens & ducks at the end of the garden too - in fact there was so much to do, we didn't even get the chance to use the sand pit!
Really handy having a washing machine & tumble dryer, all the utensils, pots, pans etc in the kitchen that you'd ever need, lovely big dining table, wifi & tv/freeview was great. Absolutely faultless.
All in all, we would love to come back one day soon.
What a wonderful place, you would never know you were close to Ipswich, it's so peaceful. The facilities suited our family well, age range from 9 - 92. Wet room ideal for Grandad who has mobility issues, swimming pool & games area ideal for children. The bungalow has everything you could need for self catering. Lynne & Jasper are next door if you need anything & a lovely welcome pack too.
Second visit having been once in October 2016. We love it! A perfect place for my 2 boys (youngest 21 months, eldest just turned 3) to play all day. They loved the trampoline and their confidence in Water rocketed with a daily swim in the pool. My niece and nephew (and their parents) came to stay for a few days and a tennis tournament among the adults ensued. My boys also enjoyed a daily check for eggs in the hen house and a chat with the pigs.
Not far to felixstowe so we make a few trips to the beach for a change or scenery but we could have easily spent the whole week at the house.
This is the first place we have found that pleases everyone in the family (including the dog with the woods on the doorstep). It's hard to find places with all these facilities provided.
We'll be back again next year I'm sure!
Heath View was perfect for our 3 generation family break, from our 2 year old grandson, through his parents, uncle, aunt and up to his rather more mature grandparents. My daughter in law (from Sweden), was especially impressed with how quick and easy it was to walk to Sainsbury. Our grandson was more interested in the pigs, pool and trampoline, although he did manage a very thorough survey of all the toys and books available too. Heath View is perfect for families, with loads of things to do while still being very convenient for trips out. Nearby Felixstowe is an unexpected gem of a town. Jimmys Farm and the Suffolk Food Hall are also well worth a visit, although to be fair there was so much to do at Heath View to keep all of us amused, there will be plenty of new things to see next time. The property is very well equipped, with everything we needed, but not so show home perfect that you didn't dare sit down. It is ideal for slightly immobile grannies as well as rocket fuelled toddlers and there is an impressive selection of equipment for small people and the less able. Heath View pulls off the impressive trick of having something for literally everyone.
