The Langham Hotel is truly first class in all respects.
The combination of excellent accommodation, memorable high quality food and a most helpful staff combined to make our stay in Eastbourne most enjoyable. In the past I spent three years working in the Caribbean staying in numerous hotels. I would rate the Langham in the round as good as the best hotels we encountered in the Caribbean.
We certainly intend to return.
Lovely location on Eastbourne seafront. Parking is available but we parked on the road outside easily ( low season, probably impossible in high season). Staff were exceptional, we arrived early as we were attending a memorial afternoon tea for my deceased FIL. Allowed us access to our room early so we could change (drove from North London). Nice vibe in hotel bar albeit very pricey (even by our London standards!) Afternoon tea was superb, staff were attentive and respectful. Food was wonderful and plentiful, one of the best afternoon tea's I've been to. Room was clean but small, bathroom very small but it is an old seafront building so they can only work with what they have got. Breakfast was lovely. Good selection of food. Overall very happy.
Brilliant cream tea for my wife on her birthday.The staff were very friendly and the cake and sandwich selection were amazing.

We went to a 90th birthday lunch. There were about 30 of us. Everyone had their main meal and vegetables and were halfway through before someone pointed out we didn't have our burgers. The waitress went to find out where our food was and came back saying it wouldn't be long. When it finally arrived, it was raw! We complained to the waitress, and she came back saying the Chef said it was meant to be like that. It wasn't a steak. It was raw mince!

I’m truly sorry to hear about your experience. Preparing a bespoke order for 30 guests from our full menu can sometimes result in delays, and I apologize for not keeping you informed during the process.
Serving undercooked food is never our intention, and and on that day, we sold 14 burgers, all of which were homemade and freshly prepared. Each burger is temperature-checked to ensure it reaches 78 degrees before being served.
Your specific issue was reviewed by both our chef and manager, and I regret that your meal did not meet your expectations.

Hubby booked here for a surprise for our wedding anniversary for afternoon tea. Amazing selection and very tasty. Service also excellent. Selection of sandwiches, smoked salmon, cream cheese and cucumber, egg, ham and mustard. Lovely cakes, warm scones and sausage rolls.
