The hotel is splendid. Indeed, it exceeded my expectations. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, they stop to talk to you, they care. Breakfast is varied and abundant, there is a wide choice, very tranquil breakfast room. The hotel is huge, plenty of rooms and sofas to sit down and relax. Stunning views of the seafront from the numerous windows. Rooms are spacious and ever so comfortable. Bathroom pristine. There was always tea and biscuits available, a treat. Last but not least, the location is ideal. Right opposite the seafront, perfect for a stroll down there, and just a few blocks away from the town centre to head for shopping. Theatres are round the corner, so again, incomparable location. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back!

We stayed for one night at The Lansdowne Hotel earlier this week. My wife and I had the best hotel stay experience we had for a very long time. The greeting at the reception when we arrived was friendly and welcoming. The hotel is spotless throughout top marks to housekeeping. We decided to have dinner in the Hotel
which again was excellent I particularly like the roasted Cauliflower Steak with creamed Savoy cabbage.
This hotel oozees with the quality of a family run hotel, with staff that care about their guests and delivering a first class service. Oh boy they did that and we will be back again very soon. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for a fabulous experience

Perfect location, friendly staff, nice decor. Reasonable priced accommodation - quite expensive restaurant and bar. Upgraded to sea view which was totally worth it. Nice big room, small bathroom but perfectly clean and all you need. Nice warm room - very comfortable and all round nice visit. Will return.
