Christmas dinner was diabolical. This was supposed to be a memory making adventure for my new partner and myself. We asked for a sea view but got a backstreet view. The double room was so cramped. Not a double bed more like a three quarter. Not very clean either. The staff were the only asset to this hotel. Entertainment for Christmas time was awful. No atmosphere. Spoilt our whole time away from home.
Had our Christmas party here on 13th December, had a great time, food was lovely, would like to mention the staff were attentive and friendly, especially the two barmen Duarte and Dinis. Thoroughly enjoyed my evening. Would love to have another party here again.

Everything was great with the restaurant, meals were quite good, then came Christmas Dinner. Main course pictured below. Not anything resembling a Turkey roast. Pathetic to say the least. The bar prices were extortionate, £25 for at most an £8 bottle of wine, beers at £6.50 a glass. Come on York House, what was otherwise a nice venue spoilt by your greed.
Rooms were great, breakfasts fantastic so why let yourselves down like this?

We visited the hotel to join one of their festive party nights and decided to stay over to make the most of the evening.
We had a nice, spacious twin room with comfortable beds, which was a special rate for partygoers.
The dinner was very good and staff promptly provided more gravy when requested.
The disco was great fun and the dance floor was never empty. The bars were busy but the lads on duty were friendly and efficient.
Breakfast next morning was hot and plentiful and again the staff were great.

This was Turkey and Tinsel w/c 18 Nov 2024. Booked thru Just for Groups - UK Holiday Group and only my 2nd TnT!
The 3* hotel rooms were clean and functional, staff polite and helpful. My room view not great but still OK. As this was a Best Western , I was disappointed how little it offered to those staying for 5days TnT. For those deciding not to go on the pre arranged daily coach trips to into Brighton , Rye or Hastings, only swimming was available! NO Gym, NO Bingo, No quiz am or pm ... NOTHING to do in hotel ( I' m comparing this to last year's TnT at Warners Bembridge ... where archery, bowls , shooting and gym available). Hotel breakfast was self service, the breakfast area would've appreciated the occasional tidy up/ wipe down. For a TnT , the evening dinner was a limited and uninspiring set menu agreed the day before (non festive apart from the xmas pudding !). A late 7pm dinner , by the time we finished our evening meal (9 pm ) we were an hour down on the evening entertainment which started at 8pm to finish at 10pm. Bars closed far too early around 10.15pm without warning except on NYE when last orders called at 10.30pm.
This hotel needs to offer more if its to continue as a TnT venue.
