A great relaxing stay

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 3 weeks agovia mobile
Generally a good hotel all round. Stayed for a week for a wedding. All facilities were good (albeit a couple bits were starting to look a bit tired). The sun lounger allocation system worked well for us, though appreciate some may not like it. The location, whilst out the way was easy enough to get into town with a bus from just outside the hotel every 15-20 mins. Most importantly showers were great (key measure of a hotel!).

Staff were very friendly and helpful, even in the face of some rather rude guests. The bars, pools, rooms and buffet restaurant were all to a great standard as well. Though the one thing that did let it down was the a la carte restaurants. We went to two (Asian and greek) and quickly concluded they really aren't worth it. Generally quite bland and tasteless, I'd be annoyed if I paid for them. If you want something a bit more special than the buffet I'd recommend heading out of the hotel. That being said it didn't detract from the stay too much hence the good review. Fortunately the buffet is pretty good.

The cocktail bar and snack bar/coffee shop stole the show though. The coffee bar had the best cakes in the hotel and the two girls at the cocktail bar made cocktails a level above the other bars.

To note, being an adults only hotel it does appear to have an age bracket of over 50, so one to consider for those of a younger age trying to pick a hotel. Though, as a result it was all very civilised, and a relaxing place to be.

I'd very much recommend this hotel for someone looking for a nice relaxing stay and would definitely come back if in Cyprus again.

A really lovely hotel where everything just seems easy and relaxed. We had a wonderful seaview room that was kept spotlessly clean. The food was good my favourite being the Italian and we loved the wine bar. The entertainment team Mimo Lucy and Anna all were very good at their job and kept us entertained during the day and night plus we really enjoyed the Fire Show and the Elvis tribute. All staff friendly and helpful in the bars and restaurants. We would definitely recommend and would hopefully return soon.

Room tip: Sunbeds are allocated on your arrival we requested a pool side location and after a couple of days we were given one.

We stayed here for a week in May and absolutely loved it. The hotel is lovely with three bars inside and three outside, four choices of a la carte restaurants. Great pools and sunbed areas with an allocation system which means you have your sunbeds for the week.
The restaurant is very spacious and the food was lovely.
We had a garden suite and it was lovely, it was cleaned daily with fresh towels and sheets by the lovely tasoula and all were fantastic.
We will definitely be going back.

When we arrived, our cases were whisked away from the coach by the very friendly, funny but professional porter, Panos. He really is a treasure. After checking in, Panos took us to our room and we were able to still catch the dinner service.
On the whole, we found the food to be varied and, more importantly, of excellent quality. We never had to queue for a table mostly being shown to a table by either lovely Rosie or the ever smiling restaurant manager, Andreas. The tables are cleared quickly, there is always plenty of staff around.
Apart from the main restaurant for breakfast and dinner, the Drops lunchtime restaurant and the snack bar by the pool, there are four other restaurants you can eat in but you need to book. There is the Italian, the Greek, the Asian and Route 66 the American diner. Our favourites were the Asian and Route66.
The sunbed allocation scheme works very well. We chose our beds and asked to be put on the waiting list for the pool area. However, a couple of days later when we were offered sunbeds by the pool we turned them down, being happy where we were. We were in a nice quiet spot.
There are two pools, the main one with a swim up bar and the much quieter, smaller infinity pool. We preferred that one.
The entertainment team consist of Mimo, Lucy and Anna. The girls are lovely and work very hard encouraging people to partake in games, shuffleboard, darts, archery, yoga and aqua fit.
Most evenings there are singers in the upstairs bar but we weren't that keen on some of them. A couple of nights there is bingo run by Mimo which is fun, then after there is another form of entertainment such as Cypriot dancers or karaoke. One night there was an Elvis impersonator who was very good.
After a day in the sun and swimming, we finished up by enjoying a drink at the beach bar with fabulous views out to sea. Most days the lovely Olympia was to be found mixing the drinks and having a laugh with everyone.
Before dinner, the Semeli wine bar is a good place to relax or if you want to watch the gorgeous sunsets, the terrace is the place to be.
The beauty of the hotel is there are so many bars and areas to go, you never feel you are fighting for a seat or in the midst of a crowd.
Overall, we loved the hotel. We found most of the staff to be very friendly and any issue we had was soon resolved by reception. Very efficient staff.
Our room was spacious with a fridge and safe. However, when we return we will book a seaview room.
We will definitely be back, hopefully next year sometime.

Just got back from an 11 night stay at this great hotel meeting up with friends and can say from start to finish we had a fabulous time. We had booked a sea view room which was very comfortable and kept spotless, however I did feel that it was overcrowded with furniture. The hanging space in the wardrobe went from front to back and this made it difficult to get clothes from the back especially as there were not many hangers. I did request more hangers which I received but could not fit them all on the small rail. If the rail fitted side to side this would have helped. The bed was comfortable and the sleep quality good. There were English TV channels and Sky main event on the television in bedroom which was good if you wanted to relax at any time.

The staff were all courteous and were always willing to help.

There was a good variety of dinning options both in the buffet restaurants and the themed A la Carte, we tried the Route 66 Restaurant and the Shoga Asian Restaurant both of which we found provided huge portions of quality food. There was food and drink available all hours of the day up till midnight. The Boulevard Cafe offered great snacks and drinks.

Mimo and the entertainment team kept you up to date with what was going with no pressure to take part if you just wanted a quiet time.

Plenty of places to sit in the evening listening to music indoors or outside'

We liked the sunbed system not having the stress of getting up early to find a bed was fab. We got 4 together on the grassy area near the Greek restaurant then after a couple of days moved to the front grassed area overlooking the sea which was lovely. This was near the sunset bar which kept us well hydrated.

The Wi-Fi was strong throughout the hotel and even down to the sunbed area near the beach.

The outdoor areas were well kept and the beach accessible although swim shoes are advisable as the sea is rocky to enter, the centre section is not too bad, it is flatter here underfoot and it is well worth navigating your way into the sea.

Overall we had an amazing stay and will be back in the future.

Room tip: Public transport is cheap, bus stop is a 5 min walk from hotel A trip to Paphos town and the harbour is recommended.

This was our first time to Cyprus and we will definitely be returning to Cyprus and this hotel again. We only came for a week and was gutted as the week went so quick, the hotel staff are so friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their faces. This hotel was so relaxing no matter where you was the food and drink was so good here and I’m a picky eater and always found something to eat. We used all the al a carte restaurants and struggled to eat the desserts as the meal portions were very big but very tasty. Hotel was kept very clean and tidy and rooms. Thank you for a pleasant stay can’t wait to return.

Room tip: The computer screens in the hotel have everything you need from maps to bus time table and booking al a cartes
