Fantastic Holiday Home
We stayed at this wonderful home for two weeks this August. We were also here last summer, which says everything really. It is simply perfect. Comfortable, cosy and convenient for visiting the area. Our current favourite places are St Cast le Guido and St Malo. The pools in Lamballe and Jugon les Lacs are fantastic too.
I hope we can afford to return next year. Thank you for the best holiday.

Perfect getaway in the middle of a village!
The garden was just like a never ending adventure as it was surprisingly spacious with so many secret parts to it.
The cottage was well equipped and clean.

Ideal Location for Relaxing Holiday
The cottage and garden are lovely, the cottage has everything needed for a comfortable stay. We visited the Normandy Beaches which was a two hour drive from Plenee Jugon. There is an adequately stocked supermarket which has all you need. There are two Bakers, one seemed to be always closed, but the other had a wonderful selection of bread and cakes. My son and I both enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again.

Ideal dog-friendly property
Lovely house, ideal for a couple (or two) or a small family.
Lovely big garden for our dog to explore.
Great facilities, English & French television, fabulous Wifi, DVD, CD player etc.
Cosy with lovely wood burner for quiet nights in.
Only disappointment was the local restaurants weren’t open in the evening, but this is no reflection on the property.

Thank you for your review, I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry to hear that the restaurants weren't open. We rang them and they said that they are only open at the weekend during January and February because there isn't enough demand. If you go again at this time of year the restaurants in Dinan are open and there is a good Routier in Tramain that is open in the evenings during the week.

About the neighbourhood
The lake side town of Jugon-les-Lacs is just six miles away and has a number of good restaurants. It also offers fishing, boating and bike hire as well as outdoor and indoor swimming pools and tennis courts. There are ten mountain bike tracks of different level and distance situated in and around Jugon. Bikes can be hired from Chalet Sports Nature at Jugon-Les-Lacs. They also provide supervised courses for beginners. Jugon-Les-Lacs is a great place for lake and river fishing. The main spots for angling are Lake Jugon and Lake Arguenon, where you are able to catch carp, trout, pike and zander. Fishing permits, boats and lessons in angling are all available from la Maison de la Peche.
Getting around
Jugon-les-Lacs is just ten minutes drive away and the medieval town of Dinan 30 minutes, with its castle walls, timbered buildings and port. The village is within two miles of the motorway making it easy to access St-Brieuc and Rennes (Capital of Brittany). It is also easy to visit Paris by high speed rail link from Lamballe.
The long sandy beaches of the emerald coast are 35 minutes drive away. St. Cast is a blue flag beach and is great for small children there are also lots of other lovely beaches on this coastline. Most of them are good for exploring rock pools and there are impressive walks along the cliffs.
