What a great day day out on the Mumbles in Swansea, the scenery is stunning and great for anyone who loves the sea, a quaint little place to visit if around the area. Recommended.

Our first visit to the area whilst visiting Wales. Sadly the pier was closed, so no access to the lifeboat station. This was annoying & upsetting for the excited 3 year old. There was no mention of it being closed on their website, when we looked up the opening times.

mumbles pier is a very nice place because you have got the amusements you got the beach also you got the lifeboat house in mumbles aswell. But the popular thing about mumbles is its cycling and walking route you can cycle and walk from the marina to mumbles pier via national cycle route number 4 and if you want to go further you can cycle back from mumbles pier to blackpill and then cross the road to the clyne valley woodland which takes you to gowerton via - kidwelly it will take you about 26.4 miles about 2 hours and 13 minutes one way and back again another 2 hours and 13 minutes so its quite along journey but you can do it in a day.

I am a regular visitor to the pier and I think it is a great place for all ages. The food and drinks are of a high quality and reasonably priced, and being able to redeem parking charges (up to 2 hours) against your bill is an added bonus. I do find the dog access policy strange in that they are allowed in the cafe (which is good for us) but not in the amusement arcade, which is rather inconvenient. This is my only gripe and is why my rating is not excellent

When the sun is shining (not very often I know) we love a walk through the mumbles and onto the pier.

Fish and chips followed by a Joe’s ice cream - what more do you need!
