“Beautifully and cleverly designed and equipped.”
Reviewed 14 August 2018 for a stay in August 2018

For the things that didn't come in the wonderful welcome pack, the local newsagent covered other basic needs, a few steps away. Although there wasn't a great deal of parking, there was always a space. Delighted with the detail put into the visitors' file, explaining important things such was what to do with the recycling and who to contact in an emergency. Got dogs? They are in for a treat - plenty of facilities for every need - if we had a dog, they'd rate this a five. No wonder the place won three awards last year. Several bays to walk to, with cafe at the nearest. The owners could not have done more, apart from the cooking! Had never played Tyrolean Roulette before, either... Reckon we'll be back.

We had a wonderful relaxing break in Mumbles. The house is lovely and very well situated. John (the owner) was so accommodating and thorough. All dogs & children thoroughly enjoyed. I would thoroughly recommend staying here. Thank you.

We were thrilled to eventually welcome you all to Pilton House Gower, especially as all of the snow in March had stopped your coming on that occasion! Thankfully not the case this time!

Even though the weather was a little mixed, we were so pleased that you were able to get out and about, and to enjoy what the area has to offer (forgot to ask how everyone enjoyed their first visit to the Liberty Stadium though, so hope that you all did enjoy the rugby match?)

We were also glad to hear that the games and DVDs, together with the WiFi at our cottage were appreciated by everyone, and that when out and about, you discovered how convenient and near Newton is for Mumbles' shops, local beaches, and for exploring further afield

Thank you for your kind words, for having been such a really lovely family, and also for having left our cottage so clean (all very much appreciated), and we look forward to welcoming you back whenever you wish to return.

“Absolutely perfect!”
Reviewed 25 February 2018 for a stay in February 2018

My family stayed here for the weekend while visiting me at Swansea university and we couldn’t have asked for a better holiday cottage. On arrival John was so kind and his hospitality was outstanding, he was so helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The cottage was incredible and had everything we needed, our dog Alfie loved it there and we felt very comfortable. The cottage was in the perfect location a 15 minutes walk from the mumbles, a 20 minute walk to Langland bay and a perfect distance from Swansea town. We were worried about parking but the village has lots of spaces available so there was no need to worry. Finally the welcome pack for both us and Alfie was an added bonus of a perfect stay. We will be back shortly!!

Pilton House Gower, and us, were really thrilled to have you and your family (together with Alfie of course) staying, even if just for the weekend (and by gum, didn't you have such lovely sunny, if a bit fresh, weather!)

We're so thrilled that the cottage was (and had) everything you needed, and that you all (including Alfie) felt very comfortable there, especially as we always set out to ensure that as much as anyone could want** when on holiday, will be provided for their comfort, relaxation, enjoyment and information etc, as well as for for having a "taste and flavour of Wales"!

One thing we have always believed in, is that of meeting & greeting our holidaymakers, as we feel that just turning up somewhere and having to find where items are, or how to operate appliances, discover what is available etc, doesn't really provide a good start to one's holiday, so we were thrilled to welcome you and your really lovely family (including Alfie, of course) to our cottage, and we were also thrilled that you had all enjoyed yourselves so much, and we look forward to welcoming you back, whenever you are able to come.

Thank you once again, and thank you also for leaving everything so clean and tidy; we really appreciated that.

John and Angela

P.S. re ** the one thing (regrettably) beyond our control, is the weather, but hopefully our provision of lots of books, DVDs, games and more, besides all of the radios, the TV, the piano etc for holidaymakers' use and enjoyment - should the sun not be shining - will help to forget what it's like outside, and of course if anyone does want to discover the area in the rain, snow(!) mist or other inclement weather, then we do have plenty of facilities to get you dry and warm once again (and that goes for both humans and dogs!)

This dog friendly property is ideally situated for walking and for getting into Mumbles. The weather was fantastic, cold but sunny and the bay looked fabulous. The property was well equipped warm and well situated. The welcome packs were outstanding and we hardly had to buy anything for a long weekend! The dog welcome back was much appreciated by our little dog Hamish. All in all a fantastic break and would highly recommend.

Thank you ever so much, not only for your being a really lovely couple, but also for your really lovely - and much appreciated - review.

We're so glad that everything at our cottage helped make your and Hamish's stay so special for you all, and also that you were able to discover how well positioned Pilton House Gower is for nearby Mumbles, for local beaches, and for the section close by of the Wales Coastal Path, as it meanders around Gower's spectacular coastline.

Should you want to return at any time for another holiday, whilst we can't guarantee what the weather will be like, what we can guarantee, is that there'll always be a welcome for you all, as well as a welcome pack for you both, and of course, Hamish will have his as well!

Thanks again, for everything,

John and Angela
