Did a coastal cruise and chose this as one of our excursions. Its not quite the northern most point in Europe, but you can see that point from here. Went for breakfast so was there before the crowds. At one point there was no one near the globe. The breakfast wasn't great, but the scenery was spectacular. The museum had a variety of exhibits. Didn't get a chance to see the movie. If you are going to come this far north in Norway, it is a must do.

No midnight sun but still amazing experience to on the northernmost point of Europe!
The globe stands for the symbol of the northcape, but very interesting is the museum. I would have loved to see the video but they were not showing it anymore.

From the cruise, we went there by tour bus, seeing beautiful and amazing landscape along the way. At the North Cape, the museum and exhibit were very interesting. The scene from the Clift was amazing. Once in a life time place to be.

Was told that no point in going to Norway without seeing the North Cape. It was packed with sightseers and there were literally hundreds of coaches, buses, vans, cars etc etc. very cold place being so open to the elements but we were well rugged up, views were magnificent. We had a quick lunch at the restaurant but made a grave mistake in buying a drink each, beer and small bottle of champagne ( one and a half glasses) cost US $60 ouch indeed.

We departed a Holland American Cruise Line in Honningsvåg, for a bus tour of the Northern Cape (NorKill) and the magic island of Mageroya.

There were ship’s tours of the same excursion at double the price, but this tour was certainly equivalent and adequate.

At the port, there was a souvenir shop with a stuffed polar bear, worthy of a nice picture. Free WiFi was slow but obtainable at the tourist center.

We first stopped at a display of the indigenous people, and souvenir shop. There we could see a Tee Pee of how these people survived the Cape millennia ago. We also got a close up of a reindeer and the native people in original dress.

Our next stop was the “Adventure to the North Cape” and itsTourist Center with globe display, small museum, and beautiful movie of the area. We learned about the history of the Cape as well as a nearby battle between Norway and the German Nazi war Machine.

We finally toured a quant little fishing village at Kamoyvaer. Along the way, we saw about a dozen herd of reindeer.

Thank feyms
