Needing a change from the grander restaurants we had been treating ourselves to, we scoured the local neighbourhood for something family run, offering a simpler menu, and easier on the pocket. We were warmly greeted and seated at a large table with benches (cushions were provided!). The cold meat platters looked nice, but needing something hot on a cold winter's night we ordered the pork belly and neck with dumplings. Good draught beer was served first, and shortly the food arrived. Absolutely delicious! As usual we finished with a shared hot apple strudel. Friendly service; very good value for money.

Amazing authentic Austrian restaurant. Food excellent and reasonably priced. The staff very friendly and helpful. The menu is all in Austrian but that is not a problem as English spoken and they are happy to explain

We came in for a late dinner after a concert and had a most memorable evening. The owner looked after us as if we were old friends. The goulash was delicious and the strudel the perfect finish to a great meal. The hospitality was genuine and we only wish we had had more time in Vienna to go back.

.... on offer at this august establishment. And if you like pork and pork belly in particular then this is the place for you.

Be aware that as this is a committed typical Austrian restaurant the menu is a tad limited, which for me isn't a bad thing. There are lots of pork dishes on offer but not accompanied by veg or suchlike but rather by the traditional dumplings et al.

A little bit different and quite enjoyable with big pieces of meat - just watch out for a litre of water at circa 5 euros a bottle which was a little disappointing.

This restaurant was recommended by the Receptionist at our hotel. Out of about 20 tables we were the only tourists eating there. The menu was heavily based on Pork and Sausages and was typically Austrian fare. The waiters spoke excellent English and provided an English menu. The portions were huge (and very tasty!) and the price including drinks and a home made apple strudel was less than 25 euros a head. I would thoroughly recommend for anyone seeking an authentic Austrian experience.
