In this restaurant you will get the largest “Wiener Schnitzel” of Vienna. While part of the history ot town, it is really touristy - I guess it depends what you are looking for.

Definitely worth the visit. Famous little old traditional Austrian restaurant in the heart of the old town. We ordered the famous pork schnitzel and the cordon bleue with two potato salads. The portions were big and the food was just delicious. The schnitzel was very lean and tender. The service was also good and very fast and the wine was particularly good (We ordered some Cabernet Sauvignon). Very happy to have found this little place and I definitely recommend. It might be better to reserve first as we went around 20h00 on a Wednesday night and some small groups of 3-4 people + were turned away. Luckily for us they had a small table for two left.

There are two Figlmuller sites, around the corner from each other. We went to the one down the alleyway. At around 3pm, and as a party of 6 without a booking, we were first told ‘no room’ and then ‘15 minutes, go and have a walk around’. 15 minutes later, spot on, a great table in the corner. Very good service, and the food came very quickly. The schnitzels were huge, and we struggled to eat them all: one would have done two people. They were beautifully cooked and tasty. The potato salad that we ordered with them was superb. There was no problem with tap water, and we couldn’t fit anything else in afterwards! Despite the queues we were not rushed at all. The restaurant itself is traditional Austrian in look and feel. The toilet is out in the alley, and you are given a key on a cowbell to go and use it. We went here on the basis of Tripadvisor reviews, and were not disappointed. Schnitzel €14.90, potato salad €4.70.

This place was amazing. The food was delicious and the beer tasty. Had to have the original schnitzel and I’m so glad I did. The atmosphere of the place is awesome too! Highly recommend if your in Vienna!

Don't forget to make reservation in advance.
We order 2 schnitzels, veil and pork.
Both were very good.
They don't have coke, only bear and local drinks.
Service was good.
We like the place.
