Loved walking around these gardens, lots to fascinate including the fake Römische ruins and the impressive folly, the Gloriette. There are only a few sections which you have to pay to enter, including the Tiergarten/Zoo and the Orangerie, but otherwise anyone can walk around.

These gardens are beautiful and free. But if you want to see extras eg zoo and maze then you’ll need to pay .

Its gardens are vast but as very little to fill them. There are no flowers in 75% of them and just grass in the rest. You just walk from one feature to another.

One of few free attractions in Vienna. Only very early coming (before 9 am) will save you from the crowds. Gardens are beautifull, well kept and massive so you can easily spend a few hours there, strolling between flower beds, fountains and trees, especially with a break in nice caffee in Glorietta at the top of the hill (very decent - ecxcellent sweets and good coffee).
When crowds are all in you are all surrounded by tourists taking pictures and selfies.
There is a nice labirynth at the middle -right part of the garden - fun for younger and older. You can walk through it to escalated platform which shows it all from hight. There are also few game spaces in the second part of labirynth. Entrance is charged - 5E/adult, 3,2E/kid; well worth spending.

Hard not to be in awe walking around the gardens. The Zoo needs several hours to see all of it. Take the hike up to the Gloriette and have lunch or coffee & pastry.
