If you are with your wife or girlfriend take care. Full with shops and good ones. But there are also cafés, and in the side street restaurants. Just to stroll and wath the people is also enjoyable. The plague column in the middel of Graben is very interesting.

This square is very alive, a lot of tourists are walking, eating, drinking here. However it is a little vit crowded, but you have to try it. It has got a special mood! A lot of boutiques, shops are also nearby on the Kärtnerstr and Kohlenmarkt area.

This is a great walking street that has tons of things to see and do. You can find anything from the cheapest to the most expensive on these streets.

We visited Vienna in March, 2015 and traversed this large shopping street many times as we were coming and going. It was usually full of fellow travelers and natives of Vienna at all times of day and night. Lots of shops and stores to peruse and lots of charm. The fact that it is a dedicated pedestrian area is a definite plus in that one doesn't have to be concerned about cars/bikes traffic in general.

This is a high-traffic pedestrian area. I felt perfectly safe walking around alone day or night. There are big and small shops, indoor and outdoor cafes, casinos, and great architecture. Many big landmarks, like St. Stephen's and the Opera House so you can't get too lost.
