The staff was very friendly and service minded. The room was quiet and clean. Free WiFi. Easy to find and very close to the underground station Karlsplatz. I would definitely consider staying here again, but would choose to get my breakfast elsewhere.

We chose this hotel for three main reasons - location, cost and previous experiences at other Mercure hotels. We weren't disappointed. The hotel is a five minute walk from the Opera and central area of Vienna with its numerous attractions. It is also a few minutes walk from the nearest tram, bus and underground stops for travel further afield. In addition the wonderful Naschmarkt is right around the corner with its amazing choices of eateries. Check in was simple and speedy, the staff very friendly and efficient. The hotel has a somewhat quirky layout, comprising two old buildings joined together, so there are surprising steps, slopes and changes of floor levels. Our room was spacious, airy and spotlessly clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The double glazing successfully cut out the traffic noise (the hotel is on a very busy main road) while the air conditioning and the reasonably priced cold drinks from the minibar (replenished daily) were a real godsend as the temperature was bordering 30C during our stay. A very minor minus point, as some other reviewers have noted, is that the room decor (with the exception of the recently refurbished stylish and practical bathroom) is a bit tired and dated, but this did nothing to reduce our enjoyment of our stay. The breakfast buffet offered a wide choice of hot and cold dishes to start the day. All in all, a highly recommended hotel, particularly for its location. We'll certainly stay here again when we hopefully return to wonderful Vienna!

Rooms are oldfashioned, but very comortable and large. I had double room, which was very clean and peaceful.
Stuff is helpfull and friendly.
Breakfast is ok.
I would choose this hotel again.
Location is very good, only 5 minutes walking distance from Albertina.
Karlsplatz U bahn is less than 5 minutes walking.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was excellent, just steps from everything. The room was roomy and comfortable; they even had a little kitchenette area and you can borrow pots & pans, plates and cutlery from the front desk. The only thing was that the bathroom didn't look like it was cleaned well the day we checked in and the mattress was a bit saggy. But all in all, it was a pleasant experience.

This small friendly hotel is in a great location. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and wine bars located near by. In fact you were spoilt for choice. There is also a great market very close by with loads of eateries and places to drink, whilst sampling local foods. The metro is very close by and very easy to use. The rooms are a little dated but very clean. Breakfast room is also quite small but there is a good choice of food available. Hot food was a bit limited (scrambled egg, bacon and sausage), there was only 1 coffee/drink station and that was a bit slow, especially if the dining room was busy. Lovely selection of breads and cakes, and if you feel like a glass of bubbly there was some but not easily detected!!!
