We spent two days in the Kunsthistoriches Museum. The depth of their collection is breathtaking. I highly recommend renting an audio guide, which was very helpful in interpreting the art and its time.

We purchased a combination ticket with the Treasury. The exhibit held art from Roman period to current day. Especially nice is the viewing platform of the painting by Klimt in the rotunda. Some of the rooms had so many paintings that it was overwhelming at times. But this museum had good seating.

This ticket does not include the audio guide and the cost is 4eu

I find it inacceptable that there aren't english descriptions in everything. I came to Vienna and PAY to see something that it s originally from MY country but the explanation is written only in yours?? is this a joke?? and if I want more details I have to pay MORE for an auduoguide??..

Yes that was the words I said, when I first entered through the Door." WoW" What a amazing museum, they said it was built with money no object . Yes you can see that. It was amazing that they allowed you to photograph everything. We had the audio Headphones which helps. The architecture was great, looking around the ceilings was stunning. It is a good job they have a excellent restaurant as you will spend a long time here. I was admiring the ceiling as I was there. As many others have said many super painting, the Egyptian section brilliant. Yes a Must Visit.

Enormous museum with wide-ranging exhibits

Really shows the extent to which the Hapsburgs went to collect works of art.
