Owner description: The Cultural World Heritage Site of Schönbrunn Palace is Austria's most frequently visited tourist attraction. In the palace the residential and state rooms with their original furnishings and decorations convey an authentic impression of the imperial lifestyle. The park and gardens surrounding the palace make Schönbrunn in a unique synthesis of Baroque art as well as providing a convenient and highly popular recreational area for Vienna's population.

It was way too crowded during easter holiday, people were everywhere especially in the easter food market. My friend realised her backpack was opened up after going through the crowd and found out her wallet was gone. There were some cash in it but most importantly it was the UK student BRP. We got to the police station nearby and they were not helpful at all. Just a very bad experience overall

What a magnificent palace both from outside and the opulent interiors. Need at least 5-6 hours to fully enjoy. A large and spacious garden also. Book online to avoid rush in getting inside the palace. A zoo ( with separate charges) adds to the interest for children ( although I didn't enter). No photography allowed inside the palace. Take a guide for better understanding.

Do yourself a favor and book ahead- even one day early is fine. Then you have your ticket on your phone and you can skip the lines. You have a half hour window to start and usually the first couple of rooms are quite crowded until people spread out a bit. They give you free audio guides which are very good- bring your own earbuds and you won’t have to hold it up to your ear the entire time. Because of this, you can go through at your own pace and listen to as much or as little as you want. Plan to spend at least 2.5-3 hours to do it a bit of justice- that includes walking through the gardens and seeing the fountains, etc It is amazingly beautiful and worth the visit. No photos inside however.

Definitely to visit. Absolitely stunning and takes you back to the glorious Austrian Hungarian Empire. However, try to get your entrance ticket in advance otherwise you risk of having to wait 3-4 hours for your turn to come up
