We spent a nice hour in this park just sitting watching the world go by. We were in the family park on a sunny Sunday afternoon it was so nice to see everyone walking their dogs and playing with their kids. Our favourite bit was we had the best cup of coffee of the weekend....Yes better than in Cafe Central. ..from a van. Called Espressomobil the coffee was really great and the guy really nice spoke good English well enough to have a joke with him. Recommended. And the park is nice too!

This park is a must to visit if you are in Vienna!
Just taking your time to stroll around and through it, will give you time to take in all the beauty that it has to offer.
To smell the freshness of the flora and to see the ducks swimming gracefully and so peaceful in the water is certainly a stress reliever.
The beautiful statues of great musicians standing so proudly around the park, is so humbling and magnificent to see.
The parks grounds are impeccably kept! It was so nice to just sit and take it all in.
Amazing!

The large green areas in the city center always enrich the space quality. Thus, the City Park/Stadtpark of Vienna does up the city center. You can walk and bike in the park. The canal of the River Danube decorates the pak. There are some cafes and biergardens/Biergarten in the park, too.

We visited the park twice while we had our trip in Vienna. There is som thing for everyone - you can lay on the grass, you can take the kids to the playground, you can have a cup of coffee or ice cream, you can have some local food from the restaurant near by, you can relax on the benches and enjoy the view to the lovely Strauss’s statue. The choice is big.

not many large metropolitan areas have large urban parks and even fewer have one that is so pristine. The Stadtpark (City Park) in Vienna, Austria is a large municipal park that extends from the Ringstrasse and created when the City Walls came down in the 19th century; it is about 30 acres in size and has lots of fountains, ponds, sitting areas, patterns made of flowers, sculpted bushes and with walking paths throughout. Additionally the park has dozens of statues Viennese artists, writers, and composers.
I was so impressed at how you could get away from a busy area (the Old City) and find such a quiet and pleasant area.
Next time I will spend more time at one of the cafes in the park.
