“Delicious and creative addition to greater Innsbruck's cuisine”
Review of Odart

Odart
Price range: US$17 - US$69
Description: ODART. Why? We really need ODART? In my opinion, yes. Thorough knowledge of the greatest possible amount of ingredients, their combination and the "construction" of intriguing aromatic combinations is the key to write new pages in the book of the culinary tradition. This is ODART, which, through my staff and me, goes in this direction, offering combinations of aromas and flavors that assemble ingredients commonly known, with others coming from the time abyss of tradition and others which are the result of the research of contemporary producers and artisans. ODART wants to build for you, along with the Chefs, sensory pathways involving not only your taste and smell, but also your perception of passing time, recognizing the ingredients in their combinations and cooking techniques to offer something interesting and enjoyable.

Located in the historic center of Hall im T. in the renovated Schwarzer Adler, the restaurant interior is furnished with red and black accents in a modern, minimalistic Italian style. The meals far exceeded our expectations: The primi of beef tartare and goat cheese mousse flavorfully constructed with a topping of fresh wild herbs surrounded by a crumble was a creative interpretation of a well known favorite. The steinpilz [porcini] whole grain tagliatelle dish masterfully brought out the delicious mushroom scents and tastes. The main dish of lamb consisted of two tenderloin-like pieces en croûte with pistachios, and a sautéed dandelion leaf side - the meat was tender but slightly too well done for personal taste. The red beet risotto was perfectly al dente, and balanced with a touch of salty, smoked saibling [char] flavors. Service was courteous and professional, offering helpful wine recommendations. The restaurant was full, so reservations recommended. We will return soon to try the other delicious offerings of this summer's menu. This is a delicious, creative highlight to this region's culinary offerings.

This is a new Italian restaurant opened by a Milano expat with a great chef from Palermo. They offer very innovative take on Italian and Austrian cuisine. Impeccable service, great food - certainly worth a special vist. We were twice there within a week (a special trip from Innsbruck) and both times a fantastic meal. As it is a new opening and not a traditional offering but in the old part of the town it was not crowded - although I wish them more clients.

Relatively new restaurant that features a minimalist white interior in a historic building with a lovely beamed ceiling. On the night of the visit there was a five course tasting menu accompanied by local beer Each beer was explained by the 'beer sommelier' and all matched the food perfectly. The five courses were innovative and extremely tasty. The dishes were moderate in size and just right in amount. A great addition to the local scene and worth a trip from Innsbruck if you are not based in Hal.

The atmosfere was very romantic, the tables very well prepared and the food was fantastic, a surprise every plate with an extraordinary quality. The menu was fixed for Valentine day, but I can't wait to come back and try new things.
