The receptionist was very polite, helpful and understood English well.
I enjoyed staying at the Gästehaus im Priesterseminar Salzburg, the room was clean, the location was suitable as a tourist. I stayed in the single bed room, this room was close to the restaurants at the back, the sound of the restaurants was not heard through closed windows.
The breakfast was more than adequate.

The converted monastery is much more polished and upscale than we expected. Location is fantastic, plenty close to local restaurants and very walkable to most any Salzburg sight. Staff is very polite and helpful, even tolerating my horrible attempt at German. Breakfast excellent and plentiful. Common rooms available to store own food and drink. Pensive courtyard great for evening reflection and/or morning breakfast. Was a great stay, would recommend to anyone.

Very good location practically in the historic city centre. Very pleasant environment in a historic building, sensitively renovated. Friendly staff, good breakfast from local fresh produce. Only one problem is the impossibility of parking at the pension. But the public car park is nearby.

I really enjoyed my trip to Salzburg being a big Sound of music fan (I saw it in 1965 when I was 9years old). The Gastehaus was perfect ,from the door to the left was Mozarts house(100 metres away) and to the right you can see the opening to the Mirabell palace ,cross the zebra crossing and it's about 2 minutes away and once through the gardens is the palace (the gardens are where they did do re mi).Pass the Mirabell gardens ,go over a zebra crossing and there are bridges ,the bridge with locks on it and to the left the Mozart Bridge. The Gastenhaus had a court yard like in the sound of music and the bells chimed on the 1/2 and hr(which also reminded me of the sound of music .)The atmosphere in the building is very tranquil and peaceful. There is plenty to eat when you have your continental breakfast and no one should go away empty.i can't find one thing to complain about this Gastenhaus it was Perfect and Salzburg ,I left my heart there !!! If you are a sound of music fan I'd suggest going on the Panorama tour and the Marrionette show.

This is a gem right in the downtown area- across the river from city center. It is the guesthouse of the church, therefore it is classic, clean, and very well run! Front desk staff is very helpful. We found the breakfast to be very good- nice variety & freshness. Beautiful interior courtyard. Rooms are very clean. My only caution is that they do not have air conditioning. Most of the year, this is probably not an issue, but we just happened to be there when it was unseasonably warm- and we were uncomfortable. They did provide a fan, which was helpful.
