One of the only places open on Sundays to get supplies! It is opposite the love lock bridge.
Use the self serve line only, as the attendant line just takes forever and ever and self serve is very quick. The self serve is in english as well as german, so it is easy for tourists to use.
The layout of this supermarket is very strange and confusing, but it is big and has a large variety, from chocolate, to bakery items and even a few souvenirs.
We went here many times as it is handy location, and good prices. Just a little too busy at times!

Good place to grab breakfast or lunch, it has a deli area which is a nice touch. You can also buy Mozart chocolate here at a good price. The Self Service machines are great, if you click the screen it gives you an option to change to English. Great shop in the centre!!!

In such an expensive city, it was comforting to pop into a supermarket and pick up nibbles and extras to enjoy as you're out and about.

It has everything you want in a supermarket - we picked up crisps, cokes, beer, schnaps, chocolate, fruit, mints at a much cheaper price than the nearby shops.

Sandwiches + cakes are cheaper at Backwerk a few doors down though

Billa is a supermarket chain, popular in Austria. You will also see them I n Prague. If you are tired of restaurants, and just want something that you can choose and make up, like prepared foods, or bread and cheese and meat for a sandwich, beverages, including beer and wine, etc., then you can pop into Billa. A bottle of water will be a fraction of what it will be in a restaurant. Lots of places to rest and relax in this city, over some light munchies or sandwich without the hassle of a restaurant. Also full selection of groceries, fruits, vegetables and everything you would find in a supermarket. Credit cards accepted.

Any Billa whether it be is Salzburg or anywhere in Austria is the traveller's best option for day to day needs. A bottle of water and a good sandwich is always to be had at local prices. Avoid the tourist traps and make your Euros go farther. Billa has great large reusable shopping bags to use on your travels and bring home to remember the great experiences.
