I have never seen such a variety of flowers in my whole life. The view was amazing and the flowers were super beautiful. It was a beautiful sunny day. The pictures that I took there were super memorable that had a perfect clear view of the fortress in the background. The Rosegarden was my favorite part. Definitely would go back again.

These gardens are beautiful and for Sound of Music fans, you'll recognize the fountains. The Dwarves Garden is quirky fun too. Just know that the palace itself isn't tourable. We did attend a lovely concert there & so were able to see a bit of the interior, but just don't expect to tour it like you can other palaces in Austria.

It's a huge palace and it has beautiful garden and fountains. It's a free entry. If you have small kids, this place is a must. Kids will enjoy the place. Colourful flowers are grown in the garden. Most of the city tour starts from the gate of the palace.

Tourists visit Mirabell Gardens in Salzburg because a large portion of the song Do-re-mi in Sound of Music was filmed here. It's like Mecca to Sound of Music fans.Sure it's a pretty & well laid out garden with fountains & well tended flower beds spread over a considerably large area and that's all it is.The greatest dissapointment however are the steps on which the children & Maria run up & down towards the end of the song, they are so ORDINARY & Narrow. In the film they looked so grand & wide due to the clever camera angle. Go & visit the garden after you've seen the other sights, don't make it a priority.
