This is a nice 3 star hotel. It is right across from the University and a short walk to the Worthersee. So, if that is the purpose of your visit, you can't do much better.

Getting there was pretty easy. It is a ten or so minute walk to the Klagenfurt West Bahnhof. There is a bus stop across the street and another one about a 5 minute walk. I always used the later stop and it went directly to the city center.

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable for me. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a solid example that is typical in European hotels in this price range.

There are several restaurants nearby. One that is open very late. And that brings me to my major complaint (and my reason for 3 stars). I was in room 116 and that room directly overlooked the restaurants. The noise from the diners meant that I needed to close my windows if I wanted to sleep. The hotel doesn't have air conditioning (typical for this region) so this may be an issue if it is really warm. I tried opening the window at 2 AM, but there were still people talking.

Overall, this would be a nice hotel if you are located away from the restaurants.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms any room with 14, 16, 18, 20 as the last numbers

This hotel is really great. First: the perfect location. Located in the heart of the university district, it is steps away from the river walking/cycling paths leading to the Worther See. There are several good restaurants and cafes within a 2 minute walk. The bus stop across the street takes you into the old city in 10 minutes. Second: the hotel. The rooms are very clean and modern and efficient. We chose a balcony room which gave us a lovely view of the tennis courts and university grounds. The breakfast was very good, and the staff were so friendly and and helpful, they made you day start off perfectly. They were very good at replacing depleted platters quickly. The front desk staff were very helpful as well. There is private parking beside the front door which is a modest cost per night and worth the convenience. The location is very quiet at night even though several restaurants have large outdoor patios. We were able to go for lovely strolls around Worther See and enjoy the sun and atmosphere of the area. We were really happy with this hotel.

It's close to Minimundus and the lake, and it's across the University, but it's relatively far away from the center and the train station. The breakfast was nice, the room was spacious, even if simple. It's mainly made for students. But I have to say at first the bathroom was a bit smelly, it wasn't dirty, but smelly... it stopped eventually

Room was basic, nothing special. Bed (matress) was terrible and when we checked out i mentioned about it. Matress should replace to new one. Bathroom was nice, clean and seemed quite new. Free wi-fi worked ok also in the room. Sounds from corridor was easy to hear. Breakfast was very good and even bacon and eggs. We stayed only one night, but i could stay again.

The staff was very helpful, rooms were clean, the lake is near. What else could one ask for? :)
As to the breakfast however, they should also think about vegans.

Nevertheless, for this price, it was well worth it!
