Family run small restaurant with a warm atmosphere . The food was plentiful, the best we had in Cyprus. We were four, had a meet meze for two and couldn't finish. Service was great, we highly recommend!

We went to Mosfilos for lunch. We declined the menu and were told all the fresh dishes in the oven. We both decided on the stifado, slow cooked beef with herbs and spices, preceded by bread, salad and olives, all washed down with Keo lager. There were many locals there having lunch and quite a few cam to collect takeaways. The food was delicous, the service good and no pressure, take your time, slowly - slowly!
No plastic here, all the original stone, columns and tiles. The kitchen and preparation areas are 21st century, if you are not sure of a dish, ask and they will take you through and show you it in the kitchen. The owner always has a smile and waves to us when we drive past on our way to the shops. The cost is very reasonable, another reason why the locals go there and they don't do split pricing, everyone pays the same.

We ate here on our first night in Cyprus as it was located near our hotel. We had seen it on TA and it had good reviews. The meat was excellent. My husband had the beef steak and it looked like it had come from a dinosaur. I had the lamb. Both were beautifully cooked. We decided to try the meat meze, again on TA recommendation, on our last night. Once again excellent and absolutely huge - didn't need breakfast the next morning. The food just kept on coming.

This is as near as it gets to a real Cypriot restaurant and cuisine. It took me back over 20 years to when this area was hard to reach and was undeveloped. When the welcomes were over, (English is adequate - a bit of Greek if only hello helps, don't be afraid to use your phrase book), I asked what they had for lunch. The waitress, a really friendly girl, said there was lamb, chicken, rabbit (this is the only restaurant I know that offers rabbit, a regular dish in Cypriot homes), green beans, black eye beans and white beans in the oven - or did we want the menu? We chose the lamb with a small salad. The small? salad was accompanied by the most delicious home made black and green olives in olive oil with cracked coriander and a touch of garlic, just perfect to dip the bread in. In the old manner the main course arrived hot from the oven with potatoes that were part boiled and part roasted, I would love to know how they do them, soon after the salad. The lamb was kleftiko style and gave itself up from the bones. No vegetables were served with it but could have been had if we wanted, the salad was enough. The owner is a tubby guy, so friendly, but again little English, most of his clients are locals - says it all. When I asked for the bill in Greek - 'To logarismo parakelo', (literally - total it up please), I got a cheeky thumbs up and 'You are learning' from the waitress. The bill, including a large Keo and a Sprite was reasonable at €34. The setting outside, which won't be available much longer as the weather is due to break, is great, sat under a vine outside, (hope you like cats), the traffic rarely intrudes though the odd noises from the tyre shop opposite can be heard but does not seem to intrude. I know from experience that the inside is good and comfortable, not developed, and the original floor, walls and high ceiling, though a wood burning stove makes it snug in winter. We once, about 5 years ago, went here when it was the owners fathers 96th birthday celebration, he used to run it and remembered us and we were included, no bill that day and the same food as today. Says it all.

Had a dinner here with friends. Lovely friendly atmosphere and delicious food and wine and reasonable prices. Just a short walk from the main square in Polis. Would definitely come again.
