Very quiet and small place. Food is excellent and cheap! Polis has nice local beach. Great place to have family holidays!

You will not be disappointed in this place and if you are, then at least you would have had a lovely walk along the coast in beautiful weather - but you will not be disappointed. Its bursting with incredible artifacts and mosaics so beautifully preserved and it is interesting to read all about the painstaking work which has gone on here and continues to do so, to bring this magic to us

The Roman mosaics are one of the most extensive and interesting that I've seen in Greece and in Italy.
Several large buildings enclose and protect the mosaics and one needs about 1.5 hours to see them.
This collection of Roman mosaics is probably one of the most extensive in the world. Definitely worth seeing.
The lighthouse is located next to the Archaeological Park and the view from there is worth seeing.
The old city of Paphos, ( The Kato) is fairly large and one can stroll around for about an hour.
The amphitheater is impressive and the area in which the spectators would sit or stand is large.

This site takes the best part of half a day to walk around and has many unique mosaics which are well preserved and protected. The Odeon is relatively disappointing and note the site of the amphitheatre is not accessible from the main entrance. It is on the other side of the main road down to the harbour. It was closed to visitors during our time there in June but you can get a good view by access through the stairway in the caves just before the catacombs.
