Stayed here with my partner in the 3rd week of June and we had a fantastic time. I’ll give you a quick run through of the hat makes a holiday important to me. I’d advise to go all inclusive for a few reasons that I’ll point out.

Food and Drink - 5***** The buffet is absoloutly fantastic. So much choice, so much flavour. My plate was piled high every night and as there was that much choice, Chinese and Indian night I’m still doing poking over. Breakfast was repetitive but plenty of options. If the buffet restaurant wasn’t open there was plenty of snacks at the snack bar. Food on offer more or less all day. Drinks were brill, local brand beer was keo (4.5%) local brand wine wasn’t strong but did the job for me, all cocktails plus whatever you wanted the bar staff to make were part of he all inclusive option, couldn’t get enough. Shout out to kyriakos and stravos although he whole bar team were brill. One a la Carte with one free meal per week, not much option on the menu but still really enjoyed the service and meal with the sunset.

Location - 4.5***** Located on a beach front, which brings in a well needed breeze for the hot hot hot summer temperatures. Paphos is not known for its sandy beaches but if you want one it’s only 5 mins down the beachfront. 30 mins stroll from the harbour which you can reach via a picturesque coastal walk where you can see some of the best sunsets, the other route is via the roads which you pass a mall (visit jumbo) and local bars. 8-10 Euro will get you to bar street for a night out.

Service - 4**** The staff themselves all deserve a 5* but some of the processes could be tweaked to help them out. Staff work so hard and are really professional in dealing with any slight problem, nothing is too much for them, very hospitable. Only problem encountered is plates being removed as we were still eating (empty plates but food still in mouth) but I understand they have to be prepared for the next guests, my table and drink was cleared once whilst I was up at the buffet which I was met with a full apology and new drink, and someone sat in our seats once which I think was more rude people helping themselves rather than wait 10 secs to be seated. Never waited longer than 30 secs for a drink or a seat. Thanks to Geoff for the local knowledge and the good friendly chats, great bloke.

Pool, activities, entertainment - 4.5***** Daytime activities were laid back and met the hotels custom, customers, darts, bowls, mingolf, water polo. Plenty of room around the pool, nobody would ever go without a sun lounger, if you can’t fit around the pool there were plenty running on to the beach all well within distance of the pool. The evening entertainment was hit and miss but well worth 4*, just make friends and have a chat with the drinks flowing and you will have a great time I’m certain. There is plenty going on in pathos so you can go for plenty of day trips (recommend the wave dancer and zoo) or head to bar street for a night out if you want to mix it up a bit.

Rooms and grounds - 4.5***** A little tiny bit dated but I loved the feel of the room, I’m being picky. Beds were a little hard but not too bad, flat screen tele, cooking facilities, shower bath, the best air con I have ever had. The grounds of the holiday village were fantastic. Great looking place, apartment blocks accessible by pathways with greenery and trees. Very clean not only from litter but also smell and bugs. Mini Supermarket at the entrance with all necessities.

We travelled with tui/ first choice and the rep mike was fantastic and the relationship between themselves and the hotel was spot on. Would return without hesitation. Thank you for a great holiday!

Visiting the Kefalos is like visiting an old friend. When you check in the staff are so friendly they make checking in an easy process after a long journey. Geof is there to drive you too your apartment with a guided tour of the village I call it that as the Kefalos is designed as a small greek village it is low rise in its own bay where the sand meets the sea. The staff are so so friendly and they are so helpful they go out of their way to make your holiday one to remember. It did not seem to full with holiday makers this year but the staff told me it was. There was plenty of free sun beds on the grass area and on the beach but around the pool it was packed. It is also wheelchair friendly as some of the apartments are adapted for wheelchairs, but I should imagine if you need one of these apartments you should book early as they were a few wheelchairs about. If you like the apartment you are staying in and you plan to visit the Kefalos again you can always book your apartment through the Kefalos and you flights separately as we do. In our eyes its the only way and you know what you are going to. If you go by a travel co you never know where your apartment is going to be. Not that there is any bad areas in the Kefalos. To cut it short, The Kefalos is family friendly, it caters for all ages and disabilities, the food is good, for those who are self catering there are good restaurants a 5 min walk away and the sun shines all year what more do you want.

Room Tip: Book an upgraded apartment and book through The Kefalos.

On arrival at 1am in the morning after all day of travelling we were quickly took to our room by Geoff in his famous golf buggy which was a nice touch, and he seemed nice enough, always speaking to us during our stay which was great. Reception staff were great, very efficient, giving out the free WiFi codes for all inclusive just a shame the WiFi wasn’t up to scratch logging you out every hour, and having to log back in!
Rooms were nice, very basic, don’t see the whole point of having to pay €10 deposit for remote control for the tele though - have a lot better things on my mind than wanting to take home remote control. So we just used the manual channels. Rooms cleaned daily, say cleaned, beds made, and changed towels which in fairness was all we needed for 3 lads.
Food was well presented, not a massive selection, been to smaller 2 stars hotels with more selections, oriental night was a nice touch though, eat out a few times. Snacks were shocking, literally a choice of 4 things from previous night.
The pool bar service for drinks were diabolical - literally 4 members of staff during the stay, and they will all be ‘busy’ doing somthing else, in other words not wanting to serve us! Defo needs sorting, the service in the evenings were good though, can’t fault it, coming round asking us for drinks all night!!
Evening entertainment was very good also, not one for entertainment at the hotels but couldn’t fault it.

TUI rep what an embarrassment, didn’t come and introduce themselves to us for the whole duration off our stay, didn’t even no who it was suppose to be, seen the Swedish representative around the pool and she was nice enough, even said they were suppose to come and speak to us.

All in all a very good holiday!

Dear Callum O

Thank you for your review and glad to read that you enjoyed your welcome to the Kefalos by our lovely Geoff and our reception staff.
Thank you also for your kind words about our rooms, the 10 euros deposit is refundable and the only reason we do this is so that guests can bring them back as lots of them went missing. Glad to read that you liked our food and we will mention to our food and beverage manager your remarks about snacks and service of the pool bar.

As for the Tui rep Mike he is spending a lot of time at the Kefalos every day plus he does welcome meetings too.

All the best from all the team

My expectations were not particularly high when we reached here: having been to some top all inclusives in the past in Mexico, Turkey etc it is obvious from arrival that this is not on quite the same level. However, what is also obvious from the outset is that the service and overall experience is exceptional and the staff go out of their way to ensure that your stay is as best as it can be. Everyone from the bar staff to Panigiotis on the desk, Eric and the assistant manager, Jason, really make you feel at home and savour every moment of your stay. A special mention also for the chef, Petrou, who made a point of making a special dish for my wife for every meal as she’s vegetarian. Very relaxing, great food and great service - highly recommended.

We had a pleasant stay here. The service is super and we had a room change because of the noise. This was fixed in no time. Th pool is clean. The bar and eating facilities are clean.
The breakfast should have more variety, every day was the same food.
Tip: At arrival the desk employee kept SHOUTING OUT LOUD the full names of the guest who were checking in. This is not done and is not according to privacy rules.
