Just back from an amazing stay at the Alexander the Great and already looking at when to go back.
The staff are fantastic all across the hotel (and plentiful), it is unfair to pick out any in particular as they are all good but I will give a mention to Dipesh in the pool bar who couldn’t do enough for you despite some customers being extremely rude in their behaviour. Our daughter got heat stroke whilst we were there and within seconds, 5 staff were on hand helping, the Management phoned to check how she was and offering further help, even the General Manager was aware and checked on her.
The main restaurant has a different theme each night and provide a great variety of high quality food - definitely not the same thing each night. We also ate at the Asian and Italian, preferred the former as there was simply too much food with 7 courses in the Italian.
The entertainment was relatively low key but of a high standard with the team making sure they interacted with guests. They put on shows across three hotels from the Group and when not putting on an evening show at Alexander the Great, guest acts come in instead.
The sun bed allocation system works well. We were allocated one on the grass and initially thought we would prefer nearer the pool but were told that none were available but go back later and they would see if they could relocate us - we didn’t go back, the view from the grass over the sea was amazing and listening to the waves was really relaxing, the 15m walk to the pool wasn’t a hardship!
The only thing we would do differently would be to book a full sea view room rather than have the side view. There was nothing wrong with the room, just a personal preference.
Thanks to all at the hotel, look forward to seeing you soon
