We took a Bolt taxi to Deryneia Crosspoint for €20. They check your passport then the very helpful guy at the tourism office (located at the checkpoint) phones a taxi to Verosha - €20 euro cash.

Governments and politics..AND GREED let this gem of a town down, when everyone is concerned about sending up satellites, and billionaires boasting on about how they made their fortunes, why not concentrate on bringing life back to this area.So sad that many families were displaced during 1974 and now seems to be swept under the carpet and forgotten about for 50yrs.Talk about it in Parliament Nooo,Talk about it in the White House Nooo.Archbishop Macarious.sshh...

Have wanted to go here for ages. A trip from South to North Cyprus made it happen. Was brilliant to ride around the Ghost Town on an electric scooter - so much to see.

Was on holiday over in Cyprus and visited the ghost town and what an eye opener and emotional visit obviously we had a guide which helped, you do need your passport and not allowed to take photos of anything military but if you get a chance go.

This is a place we take most of our visiting friends when they want to see the occupied side of Cyprus. This is probably a "must see" place although very sad to see
On our latest trip we noticed that the old hire bikes had been replaced with newer models and you can now be driven around in a buggy and stop at the lovely beach there. More of has now been opened up
