Mr. John has a land in Famagusta. Not only he can share his own experience, but he can also take you to some part of Famagusta which red bus may not go. If you are looking for deeper insight of the Ghost Town, go with Mr John is a good choice and defiantly worth of value! It's sad to see such a big land got abandoned. Hopefully the political issue can resolve soon so people can go back to their home.

We did a guided trip to ghost Town. Very sad to see such a Big area totally abandoned & with a fence around it.
The guide did not speak english that well, but tried hard to explain what actually happened there in 1974.
It is not allowed to Enter the area, so U drive along the fence & go to a lookout at the Beach.
Combine it with a visit to Famagusta & U Can get some more history and a bit of shopping done too.

We visited famagusta through our Thomas cook rep combined with a trip to Keriynia (Northern Cyprus)
We were expecting to see the ghost town, but intact was shown some old derelict buildings on the right and some old governmental buildings on the left type thing. So was very disappointed. 😔
Shame really!
Just make sure you find out exactly what you'll see and where you'll be going!

Just off the beach at the far end of famagusta stands the ghost city. Half derelict buildings and lots of 'no photograph' signs are all that remains of a once thriving tourist destination. It's such a shame but a real reminder of a turbulent past.
