But even though the signs said open the state rooms were closed. Did not want to see the armoury. Saw a very nice internal courtyard, and the guards doing their bit for onlookers. Just have to return if time permits.

It was a cross between an impressive building that is home to the President, and a Museum with large, sparsely furnished state rooms.

We spent 15 minutes - a coffee on the square would have been more worthwhile.

Wonderful layout of all the armory from oldest to youngest. Learned how heavy the head gear was- WOW ! Some armor was so fancy, even for the horse.

Interesting building. Home of the Grandmasters, British Governors and subsequent Maltese presidents. 10 Euro admission to armoury and here OK. Not so good we're the surly unhelpful staff who really let the place down. Some seats for less able walkers in the palace would be helpful as well.
